Unit 6- Recording Learning Aim A

What is multi-tracking?

Multi-tracking is a method of sound recording that allows you to separately record a many instruments or vocalists to create a cohesive whole.

What are the benefits of multi-tracking rather than recording a whole band?

The benefits of multi-tracking rather than recording a whole band are that if someone in the band makes a mistake the whole band does not have to re-record. Also one person can play more than one instrument.
