Performance Learning Aim A

Basic Skills Audit

In the last 3 years in the classroom I have learnt to develop a number of musical skills. An example of that is where I worked in a group with other students where we did covers of songs on a variety of instruments. I also learnt a lot of basic music reading skills as well a few chords on the piano and the ukulele.

Throughout primary school I have had additional lessons on a few instruments such as the violin and the cornet. During these lessons we played quite traditional pieces eg. When the saints came marching in & Ode to joy. On the violin and the cornet we achieved grade 1.

By the end of the course I would like to be able to have enough confidence to be able to perform in front of a large audience.
